Fast food restaurant and other stores that offer twenty four hour service are amongst the many vulnerable locations for thefts and attacks. This can be understood if we think for a moment with the mind of a thief. A potential thief will most certainly have a hard time breaking into a closed store, let alone not triggering the alarm system. further more, he will have a harder time searching for the location of the money and finding a way to get to it, since most of the time it will be locked up in a safe or a cash register. He would have to do all of these tasks simultaneously and very quickly before the police comes due to the sound of the alarm. On the other hand, in the case of a store or restaurant that offers a twenty four hours service the situation gets a little bit easier. To start with most of these restaurants have one clerk who works this lengthy night shift, and this is especially true in gas stations. So the attacker has to only worry about one person. Adding on, this one clerk knows exactly where the money is and even knows how to get to it with the proper keys and combination codes. All these observations lead to the robbery scenarios that we all see all over the news these days. An attacker enters into a fast food restaurant with some sort of weapon, attacks the clerk verbally or physically, orders them to give him all the money, and then escapes into the night. However this will not be the end of the story if you install security cameras in your restaurant.
To start with, the mere existence of your cameras will scare thieves and perpetrators away from the property. However, if they do decide to attack, you will also be ready. The cameras will quickly capture their facial identities and facilitate their capture and prosecution. Furthermore, having an outdoor security camera will enable you of capturing the license plate number of the car they used to execute the crime. Also, security cameras will allow you to identify those vandals who painted the back wall of your store. Security surveillance cameras will also allow you to keep an eye on your working team. This will allow you to find out the hard workers from the slackers and/ or trouble makers. Generally speaking, having a set of security cameras in the area will improve the productivity and spread good conduct amongst the workers, even those with bad intentions, since they will not want to get caught by the cameras. Installing these surveillance devices should not be interpreted as a lack of trust between the managers and the workers but rather, a safety measure to protect the property as well as the workers and to ensure that everything is running as planned. Last but not least, amongst the most important, and beneficial, advantages of having a security cameras system is the ability to learn from previous incidents. Any misunderstandings, errors, or misfortunate incidents which might occur to one of your events will be monitored and recorded for future reference. This will allow you to view it at your own convenience and understand exactly what went wrong or what caused a particular disaster to happen, thus enabling you of producing a much better and more efficient performance in the following years.
